The reality of the assistance available to seriously unwell people deprived of freedom, the constant injustices to their rights as prisoners, the statistics relating to illness and deaths in prison presented by those various associations defending those rights has moved us, out of conscience and professional responsibility, to work towards the elimination of the violation of the fundamental rights of this group who we consider to be extremely vulnerable.

1.- To observe and ensure effective compliance to the current legislation in relation to those persons ill and deprived of freedom.
2.- To act in defense of those Human Rights related to the right of healthcare of those persons deprived of freedom.
3.- To expose and report the particular discrimination that those women deprived of freedom suffer, and their disadvantage in relation to access to the right of healthcare
4.- To report the lack of healthcare, malpractice, irregularities and professional negligence towards those deprived of freedom as well as combating impunity in these cases
5.- To demand respect towards the dignity, personality and intimacy of those persons in the penal system.
6.- To question both local and international professional and social institutions to help and advice us in order to obtain the aims of the Association
7.- To claim for transfer, and for the effective and competent management of the penitentiary and sanitary obligations in order to comply with the principles of equal health provisions.
8.- Stand up for the prevention of torture and other violent, inhumane and humiliating treatments within the penitentiary area.
9.- To ensure training for medical-penitentiary staff
10.- To promote effective equality regarding the right to health care for people deprived of freedom.
11.- To provide advice to people deprived of freedom about how to defend their healthcare Rights.
12.- To defend the independence of lawyers and medical doctors in the execution of their practice as well as in the administrative and institutional framework.
